SAGE GOLF GROUP WORLDWIDE NAMES PETER ECKEL AS FOOD AND BEVERAGE DIRECTOR AT RAVENEAUX COUNTRY CLUB
SAGE Golf Group Worldwide is pleased to announce that Peter Eckel has been named the Food and Beverage Director for Raveneaux Country Club. Peter has an excellent background and experience at many fine private clubs and restaurants.
Peter comes from Green Gables Country Club; an Arthur Hills designed golf course and country club in Denver, Colorado where he was the Food and Beverage Director and Clubhouse Manager for four years. In addition, he served as Manager with Patina Restaurant Group in Anaheim, California, which is a high volume, fine dining and casual restaurant organization. There he coordinated training, promotions and events to support award winning wine lists. Peter was General Manager at the upscale restaurant Daily Grill, in both Universal City and Santa Monica, California. Prior to his role in Denver, Peter also served as Assistant Manager of Operations at the Jonathan Club in Los Angeles and Santa Monica; an exclusive nationally recognized Platinum City Club. Peter brings a wealth of knowledge in nutritional menus for sports and fitness as well as an unparalleled commitment to service having worked for 21 years at Walt Disney Company, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. His time at Disney was highlighted with 10 years as the Assistant and General Manager at the exclusive corporate owned private “Club 33”. He looks forward to leveraging his outstanding leadership, superb customer service skills, high-level attention to detail, and ability to build winning teams in a private club environment such as Raveneaux Country Club.
Peter graduated from the University of California, Irvine and is currently working towards his Club Managers certification. Peter’s professional developments and affiliations are extremely impressive as he holds memberships in the Society of Wine Educators as well as Court of Master Sommeliers.
Peter has relocated to the Spring area and is excited to work with Chef Bradley Montgomery and the entire team at the Club.
About Raveneaux Country Club
For more than 30 years, Raveneaux Country Club has meant a level of luxury and is regarded as one of the premiere private country clubs in Texas. In addition to world-class golf, the Club is known for its family-oriented atmosphere, which offers many recreational and social amenities. Raveneaux has grown to become the natural retreat for members and guests looking for an escape from the rigors of the world. Designed by Robert Von Hagge in 1979, the Old Course at Raveneaux has proven to be a challenge for all players.
Within the 60,000 square foot Clubhouse that sits among natural woodlands, Raveneaux offers a variety of venues for dining and entertaining. The Club also offers full-service golf and tennis shops, 12 lighted outdoor tennis courts and a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool. In late 2009, the Club completed a $2 million renovation project on the clubhouse interior that has been well received by the membership.
