DERRICK WELLS NAMED GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT AT RAVENEAUX COUNTRY CLUB

SAGE Golf Group Worldwide is pleased to announce that Derrick Wells has been named the Golf Course Superintendent for Raveneaux Country Club.  Derrick has a diverse background and experience at many fine clubs.

Derrick comes to Raveneaux from one of the top resorts in the South, Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club in Innisbrook, Florida, where he served as the Superintendent since 2006.  During his tenure, Innisbrook has been the host for the PGA TOUR’s Transitions Championship, the LPGA TOUR’s Legends Tour Open Championship and several PGA TOUR Qualifying Schools, so he is accustomed to creating championship level playing conditions.  Prior to his current role, he served as the Superintendent at the Haig Point Club in Daufuskie Island, South Carolina.  In addition, Derrick supervised a major 20-hole Rees Jones Signature golf course renovation project.  Prior to this, he was an Assistant Superintendent at the exclusive Belleview Biltmore in Belleair, Florida.

Derrick graduated with a business degree from the Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.  Derrick is a 10-year Member of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America and maintains all necessary turf grass and chemical licenses. He also excels in Clubhouse grounds landscaping and at successfully creating high levels of member and guest satisfaction in all turf playing conditions on a daily basis.
