DAVISON ANNOUNCES THE FORMATION OF SAGE GOLF GROUP WORLDWIDE

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida – Pete Davison recently announced the formation of the SAGE Golf Group Worldwide, a full-service luxury brand golf management company specializing in third-party management contracts, as well as club development and construction for new and existing facilities both domestically and internationally. It will also offer a full range of consulting services.

SAGE Golf Group Worldwide is made up of most of the members of the management team that operated the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Players Club Network from its inception in 1980. The company will focus on premier world class oriented properties in the private, resort and daily fee sectors. Davison, who is the Founding Partner and will serve as the President and CEO, said discussions are underway for involvement with a number of leading developers and owners from the United States and other countries around the world.  “We are very excited about the reception and interest our company has received while in the developmental stages. With our launch, we look forward to working closely with the many people we are currently talking with.”

Davison has over 40 years of experience in the club industry, serving the past 25 years with the TPC Network. He has long been recognized as one of the finest and most innovative luxury brand operators in the golf industry and was responsible for shaping and executing the business, management and operational approach of the Tournament Players Club Network. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties and the TPC Network, Davison guided the TPC Network to become an industry leader in profitability, service and operational standards, marketing innovations, retail merchandising excellence, golf course conditioning and environmental excellence, financial and business metric development and human resources and training standards.

The other members of SAGE Golf Group Worldwide include Chuck Green, Partner and Vice President Golf Course Maintenance Operations and Agronomy; Roberta McDougal, Partner and Vice President Finance and Accounting; Jayne Davison, Director of Merchandising; Chris Wilkerson, Senior Consultant Construction Management and Mike Diffenderffer, Senior Consultant Marketing and Membership. Each has been responsible for his or her area of expertise in Tournament Players Club operations or construction for up to 25 years and is considered a leader in the golf industry. The entire SAGE management team has 165 years of experience in the club industry and 115 years of experience with the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Players Club Network.
